GREAT FALLS TRIBUNE GIVES US A PLUG

Great article in today’s Great Falls Tribune by former Havre resident, Kim Skornogoski, giving a plug for the Havre Daily Corrector. Thanks Kim!

The Corrector is here not only to motivate conversation about local issues, but also to help keep the Havre electorate informed as to what our elected officials are up to “behind the scenes” We welcome unedited guest editorials to our blog which you can e-mail to us at havredailycorrector@bresnan.net  Sign your name or use you pseudonym, it matters not to us. Like always, we would welcome some help from people attending some of the many public meeting that are held each week in Havre. We have noticed that various public speakers and groups, like the Museum Board, Park Board, Buffalo Jump meetings, Zoning Board, etc receive no coverage in the local newspaper and we would be happy to publish those reports here as well. While we have focused on the “snafus” made by our elected officials our readers would also welcome some positive news of what the various groups and organizations are doing about town. Maybe an article about the good works at Kitty Keepers? How is the new fishing pavilion at the lower lake progressing?  Do they still need help? What have the Boy Scouts been up to? What is the Trap Club doing?  Is the Havre Beneath the Streets gearing up for spring? Allot of what happens around Havre never makes the news and you can make that happen here at the Corrector.

Thanks again Kim for a great article.

  2. Great Job Corrector...Now may I remind all bloggers & readers that Mahon & Shad have gotten off scot-free on the scam that they ran on the citizens & the tax-payers...
Honest doings are done in the light
Corrupt doings are done in the Dark
can U honestly tell me that not one of our local or state lawmakers or enforcement personnel
are interested in the DETAILS of what seem to me,to be a theft...what say U ?

  4. Does any one actually know where Mahon is?

Did he find other employment? or is he taking a year or two off?

  5. DeConstructor and Neo. How about you go to the School Board meeting tonight and see if you can get any of that information?

We understand they are going to award some work that was bid for the foundation of the new addition at the infamous HighLand Park school tonight

  8. If the people running this blog are afraid to attend meetings for fear of being found out that they run this blog and rely upon rumors and innuendo for their articles, many people are subject to the whims and caprices of unfound truths.
You guys must be republicans with tea bags hangin' off yer hats.

  9. Havre Daily Corrector is providing many from the comforts of their computer 24/7 the opportunity to read and respond to many individual perceptives on many real and perceived issues and concerns at the federal, state and local levels.

This freedom to express is the center piece of our country's liberty and democracy...

The perceptions provided by the many who participate gives everyone a lot of knowledge and insights that one could not get from your family, favorite church, Post Office, City Councel meetings or Uncle Joe's.

Thanks Havre Daily Corrector for a great opportunity at a great price...

  10. BILL

We aren’t afraid to attend meetings; we go to scores of them. However the meetings are many and we are few. If we haven’t attended a meeting we report on, we not only say so up front, we search someone out that has either attended or knows the facts of the situation, we do not rely on innuendo and unfound truths. If it is a rumor we state it as such or say “we have heard about town” We do not represent ourselves as a newspaper but as bloggers expressing our opinions.

We all have opinions; we just choose to vent ours on this blog.
Furthermore, we have both Democrats and Republicans that contribute ideas and stories to this blog. And yes, we even have one fed up individual that thinks the Tea Party is on the right track.

    What do you contribute?
