SARAH PALIN'S KEYNOTE SPEECH AT THE NATIONAL TEA PARTY CONVENTION

Governor Sarah Palin delivers the keynote address of the National Tea Party Convention, held in Nashville, Tennessee. Could the Tea Party be the answer for those disgusted by out two main-stream political parties? The speech, carried on C-Span, is over 40 minutes and is followed with about 20 minutes of questions from the audience. Let us know what you think, not just about Sarah Palin, but the actual Tea party Movement

  1. I think the Tea Party could make a difference this next election. I am going to vote for who ever I think will represent me and put a halt to all this obscene spending, be it a democrat, republican, tea party, or independent. NO MORE voting for those party lies.

Tester is living proof that they campaign on one thing and then fall into party line and are controlled by thier party, no matter what the voters wanted

  3. Palin is obviously trying to hijack the the tea party, which isn't really a party, more or less angry citizens with no real common goal.

I'm all for the tea party and protests against the increasingly corrupt government, but the problem I have is the lack of direction. The only common goal is the anger. For instance: Many tea party attendees believe in the same war mongering policies we have seen in the past. If they were truly for the movement they would realize this is one of the biggest problems.

Also is the Tea Party movement really anything when someone such as Sarah Palin can just walk right in Hijack the party and essentially declare leadership with some crummy speech using hand notes?

  4. To tell you the truth I think they are on the right track. They may not have arrived at the final destination, but they are headed there.

And I was impressed that Palin could give a 40 minute speech using only hand notes when our current Pres can't even give a speech with a teleprompter. Ever seen him in a speech when his prompter glitched? Very sad

  5. Are you serious Freddy....you are "impressed" with Sarah Palin's speeches?? She is quite possibly one of the most horrendeous speakers EVER...worse than Bush who once said he wanted to get all the OB/GYN's back to practicing their love for women....LOL. Yes President Obama gives speeches....DAHH...just like every President has, the only difference being that he is really good at it. He has on many occasions given interviews and in case you missed his debates he is a great speaker. As far as the tea party movement, I can respect it as our country seems to be sinking, I am just holding out hope they know what they are doing and we can rebound and make our way out of this mess.

  6. On the note of speeches, there is no where to be impressed considering 9 times out of 10 the speaker is told what to say before hand. It's all crafted. I know everyone takes notes, but its one thing to have notes, and one thing to have someone lay out prefabricated answers.
