  2. When prohibition drives the price of dried flowers to $400 per ounce, robberies are bound to occur.

  3. This can not be right. The medical people here in Havre told us that these things do not occur. Everything is safe because they are all legitimate

  4. Pharmacy's are legit as well and they are getting robbed all the time. I fail to see your point suzyq.

And if anyone did indeed say that these things can't occur then they are fools.

  7. Surely believe what you want, but two growers actually did say this was not a concern for them at the first meeting of the council on the subject in reference to a question on public safety due to potential robberies.

  10. railroader: There is a HUGE difference between "do not occur" and "not a concern for them" wouldn't you agree?

I still fail to see what point suzyq was trying to make.

  11. I think the point is that people using drugs don't always have the big amount of cash needed to buy drugs so they often time resort to robbery. From what I gather this is what people in the residential areas fear - an increase in crime in their neighborhood because people that know there are drugs, or patients, or growers in the area will come to steal some free drugs or whatever else happens to be handy in order to buy drugs

  12. Right on Jimbo, that is exactly what the concern was at the meeting. And to Surelyyoujest11--yes I do see the difference linguistically; however, in the context of the conversation where these folks were being questioned by a former law enforcement officer they were discussing this as if it does not happen. They specifically said they have never had a problem and it was not a concern for them. They laughed off what the officer said.

  13. Railroader - Then those two fellas are, as I noted in my first post, fools.

  14. Agreed! Just wanted you to understand that SusyQ was not exaggerating as far as I was concerned, because I too heard that foolish response.

  15. The City Council is having another meeting tonight at 5;15 where they will again discuss Medical M

The point I was trying to make in my previous comment was that it is unlikely that crime will not increase with more growers increasing. More will know about them and see a place to get or steal some Medical M

Why do they have to be in places where we are raising children? That is my point. Does everyone actually think we won't be like Detroit? Where shootings and robberys happen over drugs everyday
