    I wonder how much they cost back in the day....In fact I wonder how much that whole building cost.

  2. I recall going to the 2&87 diner back in the early 70's but I seem to remember the diner having windows all across the fron which don't show up in this picture so it must be older than the 70's. Anyone know when this was built?

  4. Redneck Joe, the old city hall was located at 4th ave. and 1st st. Now a vacant lot.

  5. The truckstop was a popular place to eat. Good old homemade food. Ahh the good old days.I think Ron Harmons dad had it in those days. Thanks for the memories :)

  6. I had a friend named Peggy (Searle is the last name – unsure of spelling) in high school whose parents ran the truck stop restaurant for a time. I think they moved to Chester. Anyone know what became of Peggy?
