Trethewey - the Gift that just keeps on Giving

The bloggers at the Corrector just love the political ineptness of some of the local Democrat campaign plans. First, Janet Trethewey, wife of Democrat House District 33 candidate Jack Trethewey, calls the ACLU and turns her employer in for “forcing” her to endure a prayer at MSU-Northern’s graduation where she is an instructor. Apparently Democrat Commissioner Candidate Mike Anderson also wants to be included in this fray as Janet Trethewey gave him a glowing endorsement in Friday night’s Havre Daily “News” opinion page. Normally campaign letters to the editor are a good strategy but Mike should have thought this one through a bit more.

Was this strategy something these guys were taught in that Democrat Campaign School they attended? I guess they follow the philosophy of “any news is good for name recognition.”  Wow! is all we can think to say.

The campaign finance reports were due in on Thursday and one of our readers was good enough to send us a copy of House District 33 candidate Jack Trethewey’s report that shows all his campaign finance support to date which is posted below with the exception of $420 which was given him by Union PACS. Of the $1,625 that Jack has collected this reporting period only $215 was contributed by people living in his district and of that $185 was given by relatives and a mere $30 was contributed by a person he works with. It doesn’t appear that Jack has much support amongst his comrades. Jack is running against Phillip DeFelice of Havre in the primary on June 8th.

The Corrector will attempt to get copies of all the candidates’ reports next week to see how Jack’s competitors stand but this doesn’t look good for Jack. And as far as this “endorsement” of Mike Anderson we are in a state of “Shock and Awe” but go ahead and keep up the good work, we love it.

It was said best by one of our conservative bloggers as our lone democrat blogger stood with her head hung in embarrassment; “Janet Trethewey, the Republican’s gift that just keeps on giving”

I can't believe Mike would want to ask her to send in a letter to the editor for him after the aclu mess. He is not very bright it would seem

  2. They should ask the ACLU for a donation. The ACLU just loves America hating candidates.

  3. I dont understand why everyone is choosing not to vote for Jack because his wife is raising a stink. That doesnt make sense. Does it? Common folks. Why dont you wait till he does something you dont like to attack him? Very stupid! Jack is an all around good guy. Your all really attacking her for protecting your rights? I say good for her!! Thanx Janet. Someone cares. My wife goes to school here and shes not spending thousands to be preached to.

  4. Don't you get it Shawn?

Those of us that know the Tretheweys can honestly say that Janet is the smart one of the two. It is sad to even think that Jack would make a good representative. All he cares about is how the firemen in Havre are the poorest paid in the world and have the worst bennys.

No other issue would receive one minutes consideration by a representative Jack

  5. Yes, she is. She pays thousands of dollars every year so that professors can tell her what bad people Christians are, and what bad people conservatives are, and what a bad person George Bush is. So, she is paying thousands of dollars a year to be preached at by leftist who despise this country.

  6. Don't forget the instructor that claims to be a member of the communist party Fish that preaches socialism to the kids

  7. What are you talking about Fish? They have never preached to her about how bad christians are or conservatives. The George Bush thing is a fact so i hope they tell people the truth. Im only talking about preaching religious babble.

Keep the blind faith crap at home and out of the schools!! I dont want my future children to be lied to. Teach them and leave it at that. They already have a place for all the sheep. Church!

  9. It doesn't suprise me that there isn't any financial support from his fellow firemen. The only statement of support I have heard thus far is someone that hopes Jack wins so they can get rid of him at the fire department

  11. Typical liberal - Indian drums are ok because they are the minority and not trying to show us they are the majority, pity them(more liberalese), lets read the book of Islam while we are at it in class, you Christians however have the upper hand and how dare you mention religion in a sacred house of the government. THe liberal must smite those who dare.

  12. "What are you talking about Fish? They have never preached to her about how bad christians are or conservatives. The George Bush thing is a fact so i hope they tell people the truth."

Your wife must be taking different classes than the people I know.

Oh, and by the way, the reason you think George Bush is a bad person is becuase you have done no research for yourself and only believe what others have told you about him. You are exactly the sheep that you call others. Keep your opinions to yourself. If others have no right to speak about their relgion, you have no right to speak about your beliefs, and your opinion about George Bush is your belief.

  13. Fish, where were you up until 2008? No research? i lived in the Bush years. I dont need to do research. I didnt live under a rock. This is a blog. I can have whatever damn opinion that I want. I havent spoken any religious beliefs. All i said was sheep gather in churches.Jimbo, i dont know what happens when you die. Neither does anyone else! Indian drum prayers are not forced fed up. If the christian babble was OPTIONAL and not forced it wouldnt be an issue. Everyone would be on the other side of the fence had this been any other religion then christianity. Gimme a break.

  15. I will re-state my thoughts about “The Tretheweys” glory: She is all for the majority when it is her desired agenda like the majority of the people passing the marijuana law but the 99% of the people that favored the prayer at the graduation doesn’t matter. I’m sure it didn’t bother her but it was way to pander to the loony left that elected her.

  16. Jack is an all around good guy. ... IDK I would say your choice of a wife indicates your personal preferences, and what ideas and values you share. I know lots of all around good guys. Some of them dont have the good sense to come in out of the rain or tie their shoes. I just wouldnt want them LEGISLATING, you know that lil thing the government does about telling YOU, ME, and the guy at the end of the block what to do, how to do it and when you should or shouldn't do it.

We send people to the Legislature to make laws. What kind of laws will he work on? Will the fire houses now get free baroloungers and free iced tea on the states dime?

Will firemen get supplemental pay raises from a new state fund he will set up? How about exemption from income tax, like how rural doctors get a big exemption. Sounds silly perhaps, but if the house is split again a vote might be bought for alot of concessions in another bill, how many pieces of silver will he sell us regular folks out for to the firefighters union - he was a lobbists for them.... or maybe a payraise for Mrs Tretheway at the university... its not for her its for the children you know.

  17. He is not a "good" guy NorthHavre. He is a seething hating hack that only thinks of union firemen and votes strictly straight line democrat.

He can't think on his own without someone feeding him the approved party "zingers" and catch phrases. Ask him a question about anything that doesn't have to do with firefighters union and he knows nothing and has no plan

He would be a terrible representative. Why would you vote for him when Phil is also running?
