GLENN BECK TALKS ABOUT BUSINESS "SAVVY"

On a recent Glenn Beck Show, he had a graph that illustrated the percentage of each past president's cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet. You know what the private business sector is... A real life businesses, not a government job. Here are the percentages discussed by Mr. Beck.
T. Roosevelt........ 38%
Taft...................... 40%
Wilson ................. 52%
Harding.................49%
Coolidge.............. 48%
Hoover ................42%
F. Roosevelt......... 50%
Truman.................50%
Eisenhower.......... 57%
Kennedy.............. 30%
Johnson.................47%
Nixon................... 53%
Ford.....................42%
Carter...................32%
Reagan.................56%
GH Bush.............. 51%
Clinton .................39%
GW Bush............. 55%
And the winner of the Chicken Dinner is.............. Obama................. 8% !!!

Yep! Thats right! Only Eight Percent!!!..the least by far of the last 19 presidents!! And these people are trying to tell our big corporations how to run their business? They know what's best for GM...Chrysler... Wall Street... And you and me?

How can the president of a major nation and society...the one with the most successful economic system in world history... Stand and talk about business when he's never worked for one?.. Or about jobs when he has never really had one??!  And neither has 92% of his senior staff and closest advisers.! They've spent most of their time in academia, government and/or non-profit jobs....or as "community organizers" ..when they should have been in an employment line.

  1. That explains a lot about the mess the stimulas program has brought to us

  2. I think several of the business minds that Glenn Beck would like are busy, and would not be able to handle a government position.
Lets think about some of these corporate executives...
The worst was Larry Thompson from Providian Financial, who recieved one of the largest fines for corporate fraud ever, was appointed by King George W to head the corporate crime task force.

CEO's from Enron, Global Crossing, Tyco, HealthSouth, Citi, Lehman Brothers, and Madoff Investments seem to be occupied with other careers such as license plate production.
Maybe Gannon from Montana Power should be in charge of handling peoples Social Security trusts.
Putting these people in power would be like appointing Al Qaeda to run TSA or hiring OJ to man the domestic abuse hotline.
But lets remember where it is coming from, Glenn Beck, evangelist for the mormon church and its sister religion the AA faith. Fair and Balanced? We Report We Decide. whatever...DC

  3. The point is balance! From this chart apparently the staff is not balanced. Looking at administrations past, there was balance. Yes indeed, plenty of corporate greed out there; however, looking at the scandalous CEO's is like looking at the small blue dot on the white wall. There is an abundance of responsible & sensible people with honest & practical business experience. Teamwork is vital for this country.

  4. Balance was not the point. The point of this peice was to state that the administration was unqualified.
In his permanent fog of tears and bewilderment, Mr Beck has failed to remember that the voters of this country cast their ballots for change.
Quite frankly I am not happy with President Obama because I do not think he has been assertive enough.
Many of us who voted for Mr Obama did not vote for cooperation and bipartisanship, we voted for change. I personally was hoping the act of casting my vote would be part of a revolution.
No we do not need more corporate scum, thieves and financial rapists to be in charge of oversight of the business systems of our country, so we can say we are "balanced" . We need individuals to ensure a fair and level playing field where true competition can be the rule rather than the exception.
These politicians, and their media fronts should be reminded that we the voters are the owners of this country, and we will hire and fire these individuals on both a local and national level.

  5. The Government needs to get out of having thier fingers in businesses and go back to the free enterprise system based on capitalism which this country was founded. All this propping up and bailing out of business is not doing anything for you and me except costing us money for more taxes

Not making a profit? Go out of business. Its like when we pull over a money making frieght to wait for a money losing Amtrak to speed by...........what sense is that? If a line loses money don't subsidize it, abandon it. Car dealers making crap cars no one wants? Build what consumers want or go out of business, don't use tax money for bail outs so they can make more crap

Government told bankers to allow high risk loans and their greed took over and next thing you know we are funding bailouts. First, the government shouldn't tell them who or what to make loans for and second, when they make dumb loans and go broke, lock the doors. Why should we bail them out?

  6. I don't know who this Beck fellow is - nor do I care. Yes, we are the owners of this country, however we will wait 2-4 years before we can make another change; and that may be too late.

  7. Beck is one of thos "radicals" like Limbaugh that everyone hates because they point out the facts everyone overlooks.

only 8% ? What does a typical government worker, most of which started thier careers right out of school, know about business other then what they might read in a book?
